Our History

Welcome to Ufipa Cooperative Union

UFIPA Cooperative Union Limited is an Agricultural organization voluntarily formed by the members who are Primary Cooperative Societies engaged in Farming and Livestock keeping activities based in Rukwa Region.

In 2018 a group of visionary and daring farmers who are highly depend on farming and livestock keeping as their prime activities to drive their daily lives came with an idea of initiating a union that will harmonize their scarce resources to search available opportunities for the aim of increasing efficiency in their production as well as ensuring availability of Market to sale their products and to earn profit that will enable them to better their lives Socially, Economically and Culturally. UFIPA Cooperative Union Limited is the name of Union registered under the Cooperative Societies Act No. 6 of 2013 section 33. A word UFIPA came from the tribe of Fipa peoples who are the host of Rukwa Region.

UCU LTD is an acronym of the term UFIPA COOPERATIVE UNION LIMITED, UCU LTD’s activities are primarily based within the boundary of Rukwa Region, in its overall undertaking UCU LTD is guided by Cooperative Societies Act No. 6 of 2013, Cooperative societies regulations of 2015, UCU LTD Vision, Mission, Goal, and Values and By-laws

Our Vision

“Ufipa Cooperative Union Limited aspired to be the premier Cooperative Union in Tanzania working in partnership with other Cooperative Unions, Agricultural Marketing Cooperative Societies (AMCOS), Federation and Agriculture stakeholders to help build sustainable healthy and productive Agricultural societies in Tanzania, and to be a leading voice of farmers in ensuring economic development in Rukwa Region.”

Our Mission

UFIPA Cooperative Union Limited works to improve the quality of lives of the farmers in Rukwa region.
